THE EXHIBIT ROOM FOR ARCHAEOLOGYICAL MATERIAL displays artifacts that clearly show cultural change from Korean Paleolithic to Three Kingdom Period on the Peninsula. Artifacts belonging to the Paleolithic era consist of Lower Paleolihtic artifacts, including hand axes, choppers and chopping tools recovered from Jeongok Site in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi, as well as Middle Paleolithic artifacts excavated at Bille Pond Cave on Jeju Island. In addition, Neolithic artifacts, lithics and potteries collected from shell mounds in the south coast region are displayed.

The Bronze Age is represented by bronze artifacts, polished stone artifacts, and potteries excavated at Nakdong River Basin. Artifacts of Proto Three Kingdom include earthenware potteries, Silla and Gaya stoneware collected from the Yeongnam Region. Changes in potteries from the Neolithic to the United Silla eras are especially evident in the various potteries among the museum artifacts.

In addition, each country's culture of the three kingdoms can be easily compared because artifacts such as roof tiles and bricks are displayed side by side in the exhibit room.
